Fundamental study on cancer therapy by blocking newborn blood vessels with surface modified magnetite particles

چکیده

We propose a novel cancer treatment which involves blocking newborn blood vessels around the diseased part. This has minimal side effects and is less invasive. In therapy, ferromagnetic particles administered into body are accumulated in vessels. Next, aggregated to block prevent growth metastasis. this study, we modified surface of magnetite with biocompatible polyacrylic acid design that form irreversible aggregation on application magnetic field. succeeded only flow path under uniform field using prepared particles, as verified by results model experiment. assume blockage occurred due formation chain increase pressure loss.

Immobilization of Phosphomolybdate Anions on the Surface of Magnetite Nanoparticles Modified with Quaternary Phosphonium Cations

A new hybrid nanomaterial was developed by immobilization of phosphomolybdate anions on the surface of modified magnetite nanoparticles with quaternary phosphonium cations. Silica coated magnetic nanoparticles supported phosphonium cations, Ph3P+-SCMNPs, were prepared by covalent attachment of chloropropylsilyl groups on the surface of silica coated magnetite nanoparticles...

Surface Effects in Superparamagnetic Magnetite Particles∗

We have studied the properties of unshielded and shielded (hybrid) nanosized spherical magnetite particles with diameter 10 ± 2 nm, which are superparamagnetic at room temperature, through magnetometry, X-ray powder diffraction, magnetic force microscopy imaging and Mössbauer spectroscopy. The unshielded material was prepared by co-precipitation either in air or in inert atmosphere and part of ...
